Smiling Hill Farm

The Knight family of Smiling Hill Farm has been farming in Maine since the 1600's. Smiling Hill Farm is a working farm of black and white Holstien dairy cows producing pure, fresh, natural milk without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or artificial hormones.

The 500 acre farm includes rolling hayfields and deep forests traversed with trails as old as the farm itself. The centuries old tasks of animal husbandry are performed daily on this historic farm, including milking, haying, and the feeding and caring of the livestock.

The Dairy Barn is open for viewing and tours are available by reservation. Smiling Hill Farm is dedicated to teaching each new generation the important role animals and agriculture have in their lives.
