Deb Knight has been making
our all natural churned butter since the plant opened. Around
here, Dairy Deb is known as the Butter Queen and her helpers are
the Buttercups. Earlier generations of the Knight Family churned
butter the old fashioned way, with a wooden churn. Today, we make
butter in small 20 gallon batches using our own cream. We use
a stainless steel churn that resembles a big washing machine (think
spin cycle). It takes about six hours, but is well worth the wait.
You can't rush quality!
We make our all natural
butter with our cream, and salt. We also offer Sour Cream Butter
and Cinnamon Sugar Butter (fabulous on pancakes or french toast).
This is the real thing!
