The Knight Family has been
farming in Maine since the 1700's. Smiling Hill Farm is a working
farm of black and white Holstein dairy cows producing pure, fresh,
natural milk without chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or artificial
hormones.
The 500 acre farm includes
rolling hayfields and deep forests traversed with trails as old
as the farm itself. The centuries old tasks of animal husbandry
are performed daily on this historic farm, including milking,
haying, and the feeding and caring of livestock.
Smiling Hill Farm is dedicated
to teaching each new generation the important role animals and
agriculture have in their lives.
